An angry blow up occurred outside the Gahanna Small Ball general office today as Randy Johnson allegedly shoved a cameraman down after Johnson was questioned how he felt about the latest news. According to team sources the Gahanna team released both ace pitcher Johnson and centerfielder Fred Lynn. This move was reminiscent of the Minneapolis Millers dumping of Harry Heilmann and Joe Dimaggio right before the start of the 2007 season. Of course the Millers moves helped regained the title. The Gahanna Small Ball are in a similar situation, trying to reclaim the crown.
Although not clarified at the time of this report, it is thought that Barry Bonds will be summoned to the Small Ball offices. This was the move that the Millers made after dropping "Mr. Monroe" prior to last season.
