On January 22, 2007, Tuesday, not Monday, the Municipal League will be holding a one time Amnesty Day. During this day, you may cash in your players for full value. The request for swapping may begin today, January 15, 2008.
Your request, via email, should mirror the following example:
Minneapolis Millers
Drop
$8 Dan Brouthers
Pick up
$1 George Scott
$1 Eddie Fisher
$6 George Jetson
IF there is a duplicate pickup of a player request, the team with the worst record will be awarded the player. You will be notified if you lost out on the player and have 48 hours to make the adjustment or cancel your request.
Please note that any dropped player can not be picked up under the amnesty plan. Going by the example above; the Millers drop Dan Brouthers. He can only be picked up after 1/23/08 and amnesty will not apply even if your original request was blocked.
I would suggest that you converse with your fellow owners and try to make a trade prior to amnesty day, especially if he/Catie has someone you really want. Remember that there can be $1 variance in the trade.
