The May Awards finally are announced today. According to the league office there was confusion regarding a US Postal Package. The award package was refused because of office confusion that the package was from the IRS not SMI, therefore resulting in the confusion. Despite the delay . . .
Congratulations to Catie Bettendorf (Marilynd Monroes). She was honored by guiding the Monores to a 21-10 record, with a 14-5 record on the road and 10-1 in interleague play.
The Pequot Lakers are the early Municipal League Award Beast taking another two monthly awards. Dan Quisenberry was honored as Pitcher of the Month because of a spectacular 15 saves. The Georgia Peach Ty Cobb was honored as hitter of the month. Racist Ty led the league in batting average (.369) and hits (52) and triples (5).
