Big Upset in the American League as the New York Knights turn in a scorching hot series and melted the Lindstrom Sluggers. Following the lead of Jesse Burkett (.520 Batting Average, 13 hits, 7 runs and 9 RBI's) the Knight bats rose to the occasion. NY Closer Roy Face doused the Sluggers late rally's preserving 3 of the Knights 4 wins.

The Marilynd Monroes hold off Cousin Johnny and the Rubbles in 5 games to move to the Series. Pink Hawley with a 1.20 ERA and two quality starts. Joe D provided the finishing touch driving in nine runs for the series.

They New York Knights had two chances to close out the series but could not as the Female fueled Monroes claimed the 2008 League Championship. NY's Sudden Sam McDowell served as the Staff Ace, going 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA and 15 K's to force the series to 7 games. But Ruth, Dimaggio and Hartnett were too much combining for 24 RBI's for the Monroes First Championship.
