Owner Manager Sean Sullivan has announced the Gahanna Ball Club's claim on Shea Stadium. The stadium switch will allow the team to retain Doc Gooden for the 2009 season. Small Ball is coming to the American League.
On a related note, sources within the Gahanna front office have been putting out unsubstantiated information that Barry Bonds will not be retained. Already the MLB players union has made claims that MLB has conspired against Mr. Bonds and Bonds is seeking a court remedy. It is unknown however if the Municipal League will be joined in this suit if Barry Bonds does not make an opening season roster.
