North Branch head basketball coach Bill Baumann was presented with the game ball for earning his 400th career win after the Vikings defeated the Duluth Central Trojans 49-44 last Saturday, Dec. 6 in Duluth.
Baumann has coached his entire 30 year career at North Branch and has a 400-296 record. This is the second time Coach Baumann has celebrated a milestone in his career against Duluth Central. It was a win against that same team that marked Baumann’s 300th career win.
North Branch Athletic Director Becky Leuer stated, “Bill is a great basketball coach and it is nice to see him reach this milestone. I know he appreciates the great student athletes he has had to work with over the years, but he has done a good job of molding them into competitive teams.”
Lets see if this perennial winner can translate his skills to a simulated diamond.
