Observation Number Eight

With restricted playing time in 2011 available innings pitched will be extremely important.
A pitcher with an ERA of 2.47 with 260 innings will be much more valuable than a pitcher with an ERA of 2.01 and 177 innings tossed.

Fortunately for all Municipal League Members there are 84 pitching seasons available with 300 plus innings tossed.   There are some standouts!  1966 Sandy Koufax threw 323 innings with a 1.73 ERA.  Candidate number two:  1933 Carl Hubbell tossed 309 innings with a 1.66 ERA.  And future Stillwater team member(?) 1968 Robert Gibson served 305 innings with a 1.12 ERA.
