The Catching dilemma.
This year there will be pickup and drops every Thursday. There will also injuries. So what happens if your catcher gets injured during the first game on the Friday run? If you have two catchers, this likely could mean that your replacement catcher will catch for 16 straight games. Fatigue will certainly be a big drag on your catcher’s performance. Also could fatigue lead to an injury? Seems plausible. With a 25 man roster can you afford to carry three catchers? Can you afford not to?
