Owner.Manager Bill Baumann announced today that the team formally known as the Jamestown Jays will no longer be. The franchise has been rechristened as the Irish Kickers. The Kickers first move was to claim Citizen Bank Park (which will be continued to be occupied by the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies during the summer).
The Luck of the Irish has selected to retain Catcher Johnny Bench as their sole keeper pick.
