You Can't Stop the Municipal League. You can only hope to contain it.

The Municipal League is expanding for 2010. Each of the four new teams will be distributed - one per each division. The four new owners are all competitive - life long baseball fans, which will only enhance the league. We are continuing to receive interest in our league. In fact we are not only going nationwide, we're going global. More on that later.

1 Kurt Schneider, TBA. Will be joining the American League West. Kurt was a member of League 138 and finished in the 2009 league championship game, just losing out to Chas Bettendorf's squad. Kurt is the Land & Zoning Administrator for Pine County. He will certainly feel at home with the other four county stiffs in the AL East.

2 Steve Christensen, Hackensack Bulls. The Bulls, aptly named after the Richard Pryor - John Candy movie "Brewster's Millions", will be seeded in the National League North. A North Branch Middle School teacher, Steve will bring some heat to this division, not that they need anymore with SID.

3 Bryon Rogers, Cleveland Spiders. You gotta like a guy who is a Cleveland Indians fan, well that's me anyway. Bryon is also a North Branch teacher and has the honor of competing the the "family" division, National League South.

4 Mark Allen, Kost Plenty Angels. The Angels will sit in the American League West. Mark is a long time friend and collegue of the Commissioner and he will add the international flavor to the league. Mark is a missionary with International Relief Mission and may be competing part of the season from the other side of the globe. His past summer was spent in Peru.
